We steam clean your curtains at home while they hang on the rod or track. Nothing comes down and nothing goes through a washing machine. It costs S$18 per curtain piece, and we can do it on the same visit as your sofa or mattress.

- S$50 minimum job. One piece (S$18) or two (S$36) booked on their own are charged the S$50 minimum. Three pieces come to S$54.

Whatever comes in through the window
Curtains hang right where outside air comes into the flat. When the air turns hazy, NEA tells households to close doors and windows to slow the haze particles coming in. With the windows open, the curtain is the first thing that air passes through.
Dust mites and damp air
The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America lists curtains among the things dust mites love, and says the mites like humidity above 50%. Singapore's mean annual relative humidity is around 82%. To kill mites in bedding, the foundation advises a wash in water of at least 130°F, about 54°C. Steaming a hanging curtain is not the same thing, so we make no promise about mites.
Smells that settle in
Fabric holds on to smell, and smoke is the stubborn one. A research review on tobacco residue describes it as trapped in curtains, carpets and upholstery, and notes that vacuuming, wiping and airing the room did not bring it down much.

They stay on the rod
We work on the curtains where they hang, on the rod or the track. The hooks and rings stay on.
Steam, one piece at a time
The steamer is worked over each hanging piece. Steam loosens the dust sitting in the fabric and lifts everyday odours out of it.
Never soaked
The fabric is steamed, not washed, and it never goes near a washer or a dryer. That matters because a dry cleaning trade journal notes that washing gives the greatest shrinkage, with some cotton items losing 7–9% of their size.
Dry in place
The curtains dry where they hang. Switch on a fan or the aircon and they are usually dry in 2 to 4 hours.
What steaming is good for
Dust and everyday odours in curtains that have been hanging for months. It suits most sheers, day curtains and lined or blackout curtains, including the ones you would not put in the washing machine.
What it will not fix
A stain that has set, a strong smoke smell or spots of mould will still be there after steaming. Those curtains have to come down for a full wash or dry clean.
We do not take curtains down, launder them or dry clean them, and we do not treat mould. For those, look for a laundry that collects the curtains, cleans them and puts them back up. Silk, velvet and anything labelled dry clean only should go to one too.

Before we arrive
- Leave the curtains hanging, with the hooks and rings on.
- Move sofas and plants away from the windows so we can reach both ends of the rod.
- Find the care label if you can, and tell us if it says dry clean only.
- Point out any stains or mould spots before we start.
- Show us a power point and a water tap nearby.
- Keep pets and small children out of the room while the steamer is on.

No. We steam them while they hang on the rod or track. No hooks or rings are removed, so there is nothing to re-hang when we leave.
No. We only steam curtains in place. If yours need a full wash or are labelled dry clean only, use a curtain laundry or dry cleaner that offers take-down and re-hanging.
Steaming lifts dust and everyday odours. It will not take out set-in stains, heavy smoke smell or mould spots. Those curtains need a take-down wash or dry clean by a laundry, and we do not treat mould.
We cannot promise that it never will. What steaming does is skip the wash, which is where most shrinkage happens. The curtain stays on the rod and is never soaked or tumble dried. Silk, velvet and embroidered curtains are better off with a dry cleaner, so send us a photo first if you are not sure.
